Royal Palace and Prado private tour

Susana did an excellent job on this tour. She put the art at the Prado in historical context that made the Palace even more interesting. She also drew us into the interpretation of the art. We saw so many things we would not have know to look for on our own. Her English is excellent. Highly recommended!

Susana was an incredible guide! First of all her English is excellent, she's very easy to understand. Besides that, her knowledge of the subject is vast! We learned so much about history and art in a fun and interesting way that we will carry with us, not just dull facts that are forgotten by the next day. I hadn't read the details of the tour carefully, so when we requested a bit of a change in the art we wanted to see, Susana was able to pivot easily. She really knows her stuff! We will remember this as a highlight for our time in Madrid. Thank you Susana!

We took the Royal Palace and Prado with Susana and absolutely LOVED it! Susana was energetic, informed, and always ready and able to get us the best views of the most important material - we were the first ones in and got to enjoy Brosch's paintings alone, which was a huge highlight of the trip. The way that Susana weaves together the history between the Prado and the Royal Palace is a treat, and made our overall visit to Madrid so much more rich. I can't wait to return to Madrid and book another tour with Susana!!

Our tour of the Prado Museum and the Royal Palace was made so much better and more interesting having had Susana as our guide. She has vast knowledge of both the art, artists, and the history. We started at the Prado and traced through the Spanish monarchy through art. Her knowledge of the artist’s techniques was fascinating. We were able to view important pieces from the perspective the artist was conveying. By the time we toured the Royal Palace, we felt familiar with the royal family and so much more interested in their life in the palace. I firmly believe we would not have gleaned near as much by visiting these institutions by ourselves. Susana made the day! She was fun and full of fascinating information.
