Hello!! My name is Mayte , I was born and raised in Madrid , as my parents are locals , I am a "cat". I studied Tourism in the University of Madrid because I love history, art , traveling and meeting people. After traveling through Europe for 10 years guiding tourist groups, I decided to do the exams to become an official guide of Madrid , Segovia, Toledo and Avila. I felt in loved with Toledo long ago and probably you will as well. Behind the old walls lies much evidence of the city's rich history. The Romans built the fortress on the site of the present-day Alcazar. The Visigoths made of Toledo their capital in 6th century and left behind several churches. In the Middle Ages Toledo was the melting pot of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures and it was during this period that the city most outstanding monument-its cathedral-was built. You'll feel like you've steeped back in time: THE WHOLE CITY is a UNESCO world heritage site LARGE GROUPS are welcome as well, just ask me the quotation.
We had a wonderful day visiting Toledo! Amazing views of the city! The Cathedral was incredible and visiting with Mayte enhanced the visit as she shared her knowledge with us. Visiting a previous synagogue and the Church of Kings was also great. We appreciated that Mayte made adjustments the itinerary based on our group. Thank you, Mayte, for a wonderful day!
We had a wonderful day with Mayte. The driver was very nice. We starting in the hills of Toledo so we could see the amazing panoramic views of city. The highlight was the cathedral. The old town was just charming. We had a delightful lunch with Mayte and then she showed us some little jewelry shops and a family owned ceramic shop. It was a delightful tour. I would like to point out that Mayte was very accomodating to our wishes and responsive to emails.
Excellent tour. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Both she and the driver spoke terrific English. Toledo was beautiful. Amazing history lessons from Mayte. Definitely recommend it as a day trip from Madrid.
Mayte was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. We had a delightful day touring the small town of Toledo. She took us to a place where we had a delicious lunch. She was easy to understand and fluent in many languages. She shared a lot of history, as well as current information.
Mayte was extremely knowledgeable of Madrid and surrounding areas-the history, the culture, the food, etc.. She was very personable and was open to our ideas, questions and comfort. My wife uses a wheelchair when we travel because she has multiple sclerosis. Mayte made sure that she had access to the sites and was safe. Mayte is proficient in English. Her vehicle was roomy and comfortable. She chose good sites for photos. She was very punctual picking us up, getting to destinations, and the return
We were a family of 7 with age ranging from 11 to 77 and Mayte was excellent catering to all of our needs! Kids were engaged, my Mother in Law was never out of breath or found level of walking too challenging and we all learned so much! It was definitely one of the best side trips we took and Mayte made it the best!
