Medieval Villages and Nature - Full Day Trip from Barcelona (9H)

Francesc is a wonderful guide and this is a great tour! Visiting this area allows you to experience a different area of Catalonia with small towns, fewer people, beautiful views, and peaceful nature, so quiet compared to busy Barcelona. Francesc shares interesting insights of Catalonia, its people, and the areas; I learned a lot. There is good communication before and a nice, clean vehicle for touring. Thanks for a great day!

Having Francesc for our guide was like having an old friend show us all of their favorite spots. There were spectacular views, great food and villages frozen in time. Francesc is a certified guide who knows the history of the country and surrounding areas. The time spent on the drive to and from the villages was filled with interesting conversation. This is a full day tour, but not an exhausting one. It was worth getting out of the city. Around each corner of this tour was a delightful surprise.

Fabulous trip - our only regret was to not have booked 2 nights in Andorra. Again, Francesc seems to know great things to see and experience. We have loved his restaurant recommendations as well - all of them great! Francesc made the trip memorable not only sharing both past and current history of Andorra and the town of Ordino but also provided great stories and experiences he has had in Andorra.

Francesc caters each excursion to our wishes - in this case we requested to go see Besalu. I wished I had gone with Francesc's recommendations. He has a keen eye on towns that depict the history and architecture while avoiding tourist traps. I could not do so well on my own. Great tour.

Francesc provided us with a most memorable and enjoyable day in Andorra. He took us to numerous scenic and historic locations. He is extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history of Andorra as well as Catalunya. We never felt rushed. Francesc is such a pleasant person to be with and we really enjoyed his company. We will contact him on our next visit to Barcelona.

Fabulous trip. I didn't know what to expect when I booked the tour. It seems that about 1,000 yrs ago people built villages in the canyons and mountains of Spain. They were then forgotten about until Spain started pushing roads into the areas a few decades ago. Absolutely beautiful. Our guide, Francesc was sweet and hard working. He was very helpful as to understanding the Catalan mind set. Get ready to fall back in time.
