Overview of your Barcelona tour
This is a daytrip to travel back in time. Small villages that have rest isolated in the mountains, frozen in time and hardly, 50 years ago, open to the civilization. A mix of history and nature… the deep Catalonia. Volcanos created a landscape of cliffs and beech forests. Cliffs that interrupted the course of rivers leaving waterfalls and lakes. These conditions made difficult the communication between the big cities and these small villages on the top of the cliff; therefore, we find medieval villages with Romanesque churches; mountains; cliffs; lakes and beech forests with little presence of the human step. The real taste of Catalonia: beans of Santa Pau and cold meat from these lands are a reference in Catalonia that we won't miss.
Your Barcelona tour itinerary
Trip to Tavertet which is an hour driving time away from Barcelona I will take advantage of this time to speak about Catalonia. - Tavertet: visit to the medieval village and enjoy the views from the cliff. - Rupit: visit to the medieval village (considered one of the nicest ones in Catalonia). - Fageda d'en Jordà (beech forest at Olot): a walk in (25 minutes). - Castellfollit de la Roca: to stop and see from the road this unusual village build on a basalt rock (Panoramic views) - Besalú: to visit this medieval town mentioned in the New York Times. - Porqueres: to me, the best romanesque church - Banyoles: the lake and the houses on the lake. Lunch in Olot to taste popular dishes from Olot. The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour.

Note: The vehicle is offered free of charge in order to allow us to get to the places of the tour. If you prefer a Chauffeured Mercedes Sedan or van (capacity up to 7 adults + me + 1 driver), please let me know and I'll create a customized tour for you. A minibus is necessary if you are more than 7 travelers.
