***FULLY LICENSED TOUR GUIDE #2754 (since 2010) *** SKIP THE LINE GUARANTEED AT ALL SITES Hi! I am Francesc. I was born in Barcelona when it was not a touristic city. Little by little the city became tourist and I went into this world (more than 25 years ago). Nowadays, I'm a guide and this is my full time job: I really enjoy doing it. I offer Private tours all over Barcelona and Catalonia (Montserrat, Cadaqués, Costa Brava, Dalí, etc). My clients say I am very passionate when I tour them. Well, I put myself in their shoes and I think: one trip sometimes is the result of a long time, maybe months or years preparing it. When you travel, you are going to an unexplored land, but you wish everything goes perfect: your flight, your hotel and, of course, your tour guide. I realize if you decide to take a tour guide it is because you think it's the best way to know this place. Therefore, my responsibility is huge in order to live up to your expectations. That's why I will do everything in my power to make your trip perfect. If you look for a more personal and enjoyable tour, just let yourself be amazed!!! ***FULLY LICENSED TOUR GUIDE #2754 (since 2010) *** SKIP THE LINE GUARANTEED AT ALL SITES (see the license picture in my profile pictures) Member of the APIT Barcelona (Association of Professional Tourist Guides). What is the background of Barcelona that has made of it the Modern city that it is? The Old Town tells us the history of the city that was the capital of the most important military navy in the Mediterranean. History and anecdotes will make Magic this part of the city: a walk in the Rambla, the avenue where things happened; to go into a food Market that began in the twelve hundred; a time when the Cathedral represented the power of the economy; a city that hosted the biggest Jewish community in the Iberian Peninsula; and the Roman Temple will tell us who and why founded the city. Halfway through the tour it is a must to stop to taste the "Suïs", hot chocolate with cream and churros, in one of the historic hot chocolate stores.

Francesc G was an excellent guide walking with us through Barcelona and taking us to the local market areas. He also inquired about our next day's tour, which was similar to his tour, and was gracious enough to call our next-day's guide, explain what we covered on his tour and they put together a complementing tour which avoided duplicating what we had already seen.
Fransesc was truly amazing! Five stars isn’t enough. We did his 8 hour Barcelona tour over two days. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Barcelona. Our group of 8 was soaking up all he had to teach about history, art, architecture, topography, food, religious symbolism, language, politics, and more. He adapted our tour on the spot when he found out what we did for a living. This made the tour even more unique and special. He was very organized and prepared, ensuring our time with him was well spent, delightful, and seamless. His English was amazing. He uses a microphone and Bluetooth headsets so we could all hear him clearly throughout the tours. He also helped direct us with restaurants and food options. Everything he recommended was absolutely delicious. He was so gracious and a perfect host. We wholeheartedly recommend him.
We booked this tour with Francesc for our first day in Barcelona. It was a great way to get our bearings and learn a lot of history of the region and of the city. Francesc is an excellent tour guide, we did this tour with him and then the next day did a Gaudi tour with him. He was engaging with everyone in the family and made sure to point out particular things that might interest them. I highly recommend Francesc and this tour.
A really good tour that we tweaked to take in the Sagrada Famillia. Francesc was an excellent and knowledgeable host who took care of us very well, he was an enthusiastic and entertaining guide who we would recommend . We thoroughly enjoyed the time, it was a highlight of our visit.
Francesc, our guide, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. The Gothic Quarter has interesting architecture and lots of fun shops.
- Ramblas: Food market, Opera House - Gothic Pi Church - Old Jewish Quarter - Sant Felip Neri Square, imprint of the Spanish Civil War - Cathedral (inside) - King Palace (inside) - City Council & Government Palace - Roman Temple (1c BC) - Hot Chocolate with cream and churros - if time permits Church of Santa Maria del Mar (the Cathedral of the sea) * Cathedral dress code: shoulders must be covered and shorts are not allowed (an scarf can help). * Availability: On Saturdays after 5PM it's not possible to visit the Cathedral. On Mondays some of the stops of the Boqueria are closed. But it doesn't prevent us to do this tour. The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour.

Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain
To make the most of our time, I recommend meeting at Plaça de Catalunya, right in the heart of Barcelona, in front of the Zurich Café — a very popular and easy-to-find spot. However, I’ll also be happy to pick you up at your hotel, apartment, or cruise ship terminal if you prefer.
