I'm Salomé, a local guide, chocolate expert, entrepeneur and shop owner in Amsterdam. At the oldest canal of Amsterdam, I run the city's highest-rated specialty chocolate shop, focusing on Single-Origin chocolate. As the largest cacao port in the world, Amsterdam has a deep-rooted chocolate history, and I love sharing my expertise with visitors who appreciate fine food, craftsmanship, and small local businesses. MY TOURS In addition to chocolate tastings, I offer unique tours that provide a cultural and social perspective on Amsterdam. Having co-founded the largest business association in the Netherlands and worked on various social and cultural projects in the city center, I bring deep local insights to my tours. One of my signature experiences is the Female Perspective on the Red Light District, where I share real stories from my more than a decade of working alongside the women of the district and being actively involved in the community. MY ROOTS Originally from the Dutch countryside (Friesland), I have been a proud Amsterdam resident for over 14 years. My ancestors were connected to the Dutch spice trade, which helped make Amsterdam the world’s wealthiest city in the 17th century. Now, I continue that legacy by sharing my passion for chocolate, culture, and the true stories of this fascinating city.
