Holland's most beautiful city at just 10 miles from Amsterdam
Haarlem is one of the most interesting cities in the Netherlands, at just 11mls from Amsterdam. Beautiful canals, history, great architecture and interesting museums.
The trains from Amsterdam station arrive at Haarlem station, at just a 10-minute walk from the market square. This tour includes a walk through the old city centre and a visit to the Frans Hals museum. During the walk we will visit some inner courtyards with almshouses, the Bavo church and other spots in the old city centre related to Frans Hals, the famous Dutch master who spent almost his entire life in Haarlem.
The tour starts and ends at Haarlem train station and will take around 4hrs. If you prefer, I can send a car to pick you up from Amsterdam or I pick you up by train from Amsterdam.
When you prefer, we can take more time and add extra visits, like the Corie Ten Boom museum, Spaarndam (Hans Brinker statue), the beach or the World War II Honorary Cemetary in the dunes.
Frans Hals museum is closed on Monday.

Vincent gave us a delightful tour of neighboring Haarlem, a more quiet, relaxed version of Amsterdam. He arranged a very interesting tour of the Corrie ten Boom House and is very knowledgeable about the Nazi persecution of the Jews and about the Dutch resistance. He was extremely accommodating of the need to moderate our activity due to physical limitations and was a real pleasure to have as our guide. We highly recommend him!
