Have you ever heard about Community-Under-One-Roof? Have you ever seen real fjord? One of my absolute favorite places to go by myself and to be with the Nature is heading towards the little cute town Whittier through a dark old tunnel in the middle of the mountain. Seaport Whittier lies in a beautiful bay with emerald green water and absolutely stunning views. Like everything in Alaska, Nature is wild and rigid, we might meet fox or moose, touch cold icebergs and see gorgeous glaciers. I would love to share my stories and tell you more about beautiful Alaska! All season tour!
We are going to visit one of the most intriguing places - port Whittier. There is a beautiful drive of 2 hours on the most beautiful highways in the world - Seward Hwy. Hotel pick up We are driving through the beauty of Seward Hwy, visiting waterfalls, taking pictures of Turnagain Arm. Little stop in Alyeska hotel where you can take a cable car to the top of mount Alyeska (if you want to, its $45 per person if you want to get some food on the top) We are passing by Alaska Wildlife conservation Center where you can see wild Alaskan rescued animals ($18 per person) Portage Lake and Glacier walk if road isn't closed. Its a very easy 1 hour hike to one of the most accessible glaciers. World War 2 historical Tunnel to Whittier We are exploring Port Whittier, abandoned Military base, Society-Under-One-Roof building, Emerald Cove trailhead. 5:00 - we are heading back to Anchorage. Dinner options - BBQ, restaurant. Discussing on the way. I provide tea/coffee and snacks.
