History tours: Walk Old City with timed entry at Independence Hall, see the Liberty Bell, and step into Elfreth’s Alley and Christ Church, with your guide weaving in stops like the Museum of the American Revolution or Eastern State Penitentiary based on your interests.

Architecture tours: Compare ornate City Hall and the Masonic Temple interiors with Frank Furness’s Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, then contrast classic Rittenhouse Square rowhomes with the Comcast Center lobby’s high-tech media wall.

Off The Beaten Path tours: Explore the mosaic wonderland at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, stroll the Rail Park’s elevated path, and meet makers and muralists in Fishtown while tasting a local brewery pour.

Getting around: Old City and Centre City are very walkable and SEPTA subways, trolleys, and regional rail make cross-town moves easy; if you prefer, you can book chauffeured tours or ask your local guide about tours with private transportation.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Philadelphia inside and out.
