I was born and raised in Alaska like my mother before me. I grew up traveling the state with my father as he worked on construction sites as an engineer. I have a B. A. in political science from the University of Alaska and there is little I don't know about Alaska history and culture. I am part Native-Alaskan (some people call them Eskimo) and know much about that part of my family tree. I am proud to be Alaskan and enjoy sharing my knowledge of the Great Land with visitors from all over the world. Overview of your Anchorage tour
Nestled in the foothills of the Alaska Range near Mt. Denali, Talkeetna is the jumping-off point for mountaineers from all over the world. The historic village of Talkeetna sits at the base of North America's largest peak Mt McKinley or Denali. Drive north with me and along the way we will make a few stops to learn about Alaska and its history. Talkeetna has outstanding panoramic views of the Alaska Range that can be viewed and photographed from several places in town. Talkeetna also boasts a large variety of great outdoor activities that explore this beautiful area. Amazing flightseeing tours of Denali, scenic riverboat tours, and exhilarating zipline tours are all available from Talkeetna. On this transfer tour, we will visit a few interesting and scenic places along the way before we continue on to Talkeetna. Upon arrival at Talkeetna we will take a brief stroll of the quaint village streets filled with art galleries, great eateries, and even award-winning local beer.
