Overview of your Edinburgh tour
This scenic drive from the central belt of Scotland will take you to the majestic Highlands of Scotland. Scotland is renowned for beautiful scenery and dramatic landscapes and this tour will demonstrate why. Enjoy amazing panoramic views as you listen to the stories of the turbulent and some times bloody history of the local area. You will have time to take a little walk and enjoy some lunch in the heart of the lower Highlands and immerse yourself in the atmosphere as you travel back in time to explore the historic sites. The romance of the Scottish Highlands is world famous and this tour will leave you wanting to explore more. If you want a bit more time to do a bit of exploring please request a customized tour which can be extended to allow the time required.
Your Edinburgh tour itinerary
1. From your pick up point we will take a scenic drive into the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National park. 2. At Tyndrum we will stop for a toilet stop at the famous Green Welly Tea Room. Where you can pick up some souvenirs and some sandwiches for lunch. 3. As we continue North into the Highlands you will notice the change in the scenery. We will have a couple of stops at various scenic points as we approach our main destination, Glencoe. 4. Glencoe is a dramatic glacial valley with an other worldy feel to it. Here we will stop and enjoy some snacks as we take in the majestic panoramic views with a short hike to a better vantage point for photographs 5. After lunch we will start our return journey and once again watch in awe as the landscape changes to that of the Scottish Lowlands. Still full of mountains and rivers with an equal but notably different beauty. 6. We will return to your drop off location. Anywhere in the Central Belt of Scotland.
