Hello, please let me introduce myself. I'm John Mc. I was born and lived most of my life in Edinburgh. I'm a fully qualified taxi driver in Edinburgh with over 20 years experience . I'm a fully accredited tour guide for Edinburgh I have completed the worshipful company of Hackney Carriage Drivers tour course for Edinburgh . I am also an accredited whiskey ambassador. It would be my pleasure to show and tell you the many sites and stories that Edinburgh and Scotland has to offer. I can offer a full range of tours of Edinburgh from 4, 8 and 12 hours. I can also offer a wide range of full day tours outside of Edinburgh from Stirling , St Andrews, The Scottish Borders and Outlander tours along with the Highlands of Scotland. Or I can build a tour that suits your tastes and requirements. I also offer a full range of tours throughout Scotland's whisky regions and distilleries, something completely different. All at your own pace (although I set itineraries up you are in control). So relax and take everything at your pace. I want you to have as much fun as I do on all the tours given. You can tell me what you want and I will make a tour that fits and suits you. All tours are bespoke to each clients requirements. Overview of your Edinburgh tour
Drive through the east of Scotland and see the stunning coastal views and the amazing little villages that are waiting for you. Visit some of the best golf courses that Fife has to offer! Once we arrive to Saint Andrews, you will have time to get pictures at iconic sites, wonder around the shops and have lunch at a local and delicious restaurant. We will head to the Royal Burgh of Falkland and the Royal Palace afterwards. Also to Dunfermline and the resting place of Robert the Bruce. On this tour we will visit some of Scotland's most famous and historic sites outside Edinburgh. You will hear the stories and tales of this unique country. I will answer the many questions and tell you some of the secrets that help to build the city. I look forward to meeting and sharing a fun packed and informative day with yourself!
Your Edinburgh tour itinerary
- Start at 9 am from meeting point. - We start at Bruntsfield links see the oldest club house in the world and the site of the original bruntsfield links golf course. - Then we drive down to Leith links to the original and real home of golf. Hear the stories of where and how it all began. - From there we travel through the East Neuk Fife. Visiting the picturesque fishing villages such as Ellie. . , St Monans , Pitinwhime, Anstruther, Grail, & Kings Barnes. - Arrive Saint Andrews have time for pictures at iconic sites the Swilken bridge and the old course members club. - Have time for lunch, wander through the town and shops. - Then we head to the royal burgh of Falkland and the royal Palace. - If we have time we will finish of the tour at Dunfermline Abbey resting place of Robert the Bruce all the time taking in the stunning views and scenery Scotland has to offer. - Return to your drop of point between 5/6 pm.
