Hello, my name is James and I am deeply passionate about Scotland and all things Scottish. I am very proud and privileged to be able to share my beautiful country with visitors from all over the world. I have been very lucky that I have had the opportunity to travel all across this beautiful country over the years, seeing some impressive sights and visiting some incredible places, including being in Balmoral Castle while the Queen was in residence (but that's a story for another time). There are so many wonderful, wild and mysterious places in Scotland and I would love to be able to share them with you. From the castles and architecture in out ancient cities to the vast expanse of wilderness in our hills and glens, there really is so much to see and explore. It would be my honor to show you the sights of this amazing wee country, and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime, with lots of fun and laughs along the way. Overview of your Edinburgh tour
Tour Outlander scenes with a supporting actor. Let me take you to some of the most iconic locations where you can follow in the footsteps of Claire & Jamie. This is your opportunity to see for yourself where it all happened. You will be collected from either Ocean Terminal or your hotel. From there we will set off on a journey around the five most famous locations, enjoying some breathtaking scenery along the way. Locations include: Culross The home of Gaylis Duncan and the scene of Claire's herb garden we will also see where the boys ear was nailed to the pillory and where the pyre was set to burn the witches. Doune Castle The home of Colum MacKenzie and where they played their great game of shinty after the boar hunt. Hairy Highland Cows We will stop for lunch & get pictures with the cows. Wentworth Prison (Linlithgow Palace) Birth Place Of Mary Queen Of Scots. Blackness Castle Captain Jonathan Randall's HQ, where Jamie was flogged by Black Jack. Lallybroch The family home of Jamie Fraser
Your Edinburgh tour itinerary
08: 00h: Departure from the agreed collection point (Ocean Terminal/Hotel etc). 10:00h: Arrival at the village of Culross. 10:45h: Depart Culross and travel to Doune. 11:45h:Arrival at Doune and a 45minute tour of Doune Castle 12:30h: Lunch at Kilmahog & see the Hairy Highland Cows 13:30h: Depart Kilmahog and travel to Linlithgow Palace (photo stop only) 14:30h: Depart Linlithgow Palace and travel to Blackness Castle 14:45h: Arrival at Blackness Castle for where you will have a 30min tour 15:15h: Depart Blackness and travel to Midhope Castle 15:30h: Arrival at Lallybroch (Midhope Castle) remaining for approx. 15mins. 15:45h: Depart from Midhope and return to the original collection point. (Times are approximated and can be adapted to suit your interests). This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly.
