See Scotland's ancient Crown Jewels, The Stone of Destiny, Queen (St) Margaret's Chapel dating from the 11 Century, The Royal Palace and Mons Meg and much, much more. As we work our way through the winding streets hear stories of the murderers, geniuses, body-snatchers, witch hunters, firebrand priests, and philosophers. Enjoy undivided attention and let me lead the way as this tour highlights all the things to do and see in Edinburgh's "Old" Town. ***PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE WINTER SEASON, THE PALACE IS CLOSED ON TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS.

When our cruise company ran into tidal issues and we docked at another port, Alan was helpful and flexible. He was easy to communicate with, on time, with a clean and well appointed van (don't open the doors or he'll knock your kneecaps. As ex-military, Alan is a tough guy with a tender heart for his family. He's got a strong personality and quick wit, and knows the city well enough to find ways to make his tour more convenient for his guests. We happened to be there on a day with two different parades and we were still able to accomplish what we set out to do. He had bought us advance tickets to the Castle (which would have been sold out otherwise) and the Palace, where we toured on our own, with leisurely stops and walks along the Royal Mile, the Grassmarket, and Calton Hill. It was a long day, but we hit all of the highlights despite the parade road closures. etc. Thanks Alan!
