Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle & Holyrood Palace

We chose Felicitas based on her reviews. It turned out that as good as those reviews were, she exceeded our every expectation. She guided well, connected with each of the four of us in our party, “read the room” to provide a good pace and made for an overall fabulous day that we will always remember.

Our walking tour of Edinburgh with Felicitas was very enjoyable! I was delighted to spend a few minutes in the art museum to see the highlights of the collection. We toured the New Town, learning about its planning and construction. Then to the Royal Mile and the Old Town. Holyrood unfortunately was closed, but we started there with a view to the palace and its gardens. We learned a lot about the history of the street with its wynds, closes and courts. There are many surprises along the Mile if one knows where to look. We loved our stop at Bertie's Proper Fish and Chips, recommended by our guide, The highlights for me were the beautiful Edinburgh cathedral with its Thistle Chapel, and Edinburgh Castle.

Felicitas was a wonderful guide with a vast knowledge of her community. She kept a comfortable pace, explaing things in a way that left you with a good understanding of local sites and traditions. She seemed very well conected and we were able to view some rare pieces in local shops. I highly recommend her and this tour.

This was our first ever tour with TBL. The six of us had a fabulous day with Felicitas! After picking us up at the dock, we started with a drive through the city on the way to the castle and she pointed out many interesting things. At Edinburgh Castle, we had a very informative tour. Then we started down the Royal Mile and had a proper fish & chips lunch. On the way to Holyrood Palace, we made a few stops to the sides and saw very pretty gardens and other nice tidbits. Inside Holyrood Palace we did the included audio guide (guides aren't allowed to guide inside), which was also very well done. We had plenty of time for pictures and restroom breaks as well. We highly recommend this tour and Felicitas!

We had a delightful day with Felicitas. She was personable, very knowledgeable and engaging. We covered Edinburgh Castle, Hollyrood Palace and little known gardens and alleys along the royal mile. We encourage you to have her guide your tour. You won’t be disappointed.

Get your walking shoes on, because you're going to see so many wonderful things. Felicitas took us to all the best spots on the Royal Mile and gave us deeper appreciation for Edinburgh. So many hidden wonders along the way, it's so much more than Edinburgh Castle and the shops along the way. Thank you for an amazing day!!
