Would rate this 10-stars if possible. Our day with Alan was nothing short of amazing. His wealth of knowledge about Scotland, Edinburgh, the history of the monarchy, coupled with his own personal experiences, made for a memorable day for our group of 5. He not only made the adventure fun, but he was very accommodating to our needs, as we had someone with a bad knee who could not do a lot of walking/stairs. Would highly recommend Alan to anyone who wants a truly memorable experience.

Our group of four just had a phenomenal day with Alan. He amazed us with his knowledge of the history of Scotland. The only thing better was the way he kept us laughing from the moment we met. Highly, highly recommend him!
Outstanding guide! Book him! Met us at cruise pier rocking the colors. Alan knows all the ins & outs and can park, well, anywhere! Really like his approach, he can adjust the tour on the fly, as well as the material he presents. He was right, I should have prebooked Eburgh castle, hopelessly sold out the day of. No matter, got the best of the day @ Holyrood & Royal Yacht. Alan gave some great commentary on economics & military experience. My only regret is not meeting his legacy butler @ his home estate!

Alan was amazing! He was waiting for us when we hopped off our tender boat with with his kilt and his fully stocked Sprinter. Our full day tour of Edinburgh was perfect. Alan was really great with our family of six (kids 14, 13, 12, 10). He listened to us, fine-tuned the stops based on our interests, shared many stories, happily answered questions along the way, and did it all with a great sense of humor. Book without hesitation! A+++

Travel through the winding streets and up the steep hills to sites of executions, cloned sheep, and the birthplace of Harry Potter.
