Hi, I'm Alan, born and bred in Scotland and a local expert for tailor made tours in and around my beautiful country. After many years working in the financial sector in Edinburgh's city centre, I decided to follow my deep-rooted passion for Scotland and all it has to offer, to become a tour guide. I focus on creating individually tailored escapades based on my travellers' personal tastes, using the expertise I gained from over 10 years of touring experience. From rugged mountains and mysterious lochs to the castles and palaces that make up Scotland's rich history, my knowledge and experience of all the hidden gems guarantee that you get the most out of your visit. Whether it's finding the best spot for an Instagram worthy picture, sampling a dram or two at one of our world-renowned distilleries, visiting some of the cult TV series 'Outlander' filming locations, feeding a Highland cow, fine dining or sampling our traditional haggis at a local pub, I'll make sure you experience Scotland at its best. One of the highlights of the work I do is meeting new people from all over the world. My relaxed and friendly approach allows me to not only share my stories but also customize your trip to ensure it meets all your needs. My tours will be carried out in a Mercedes V class so if you want an exclusive and extraordinary adventure in Scotland while travelling in luxury and comfort, I'd love to welcome you on board. My Vehicle can accommodate up to 7 passengers I will not be able to guide you inside any historical sites and monuments. These locations will have their own licensed staff/guides.

Overview of your Edinburgh tour
This tour will take you to the historic coastal town of St Andrews, known as the home of golf, where you'll be able to spend time walking the fairways of the world's most iconic golf course, and do some shopping. There's something for everybody here, including castles, cathedrals and even the famous cafe where Prince William met Kate! During our day together, we'll drive along the Scotish east coast, taking in its scenic beauty and visiting a few of its villages: Crail, with it's picturesque harbour, the popular seaside town of Elie with its famous lighthouse & stunning views plus Anstruther, home to the best fish & chips in Scotland! We'll also visit the lovely village of Falkland & it's royal palace, made famous by the Outlander TV show. This is meant to be a really relaxing tour, so I'll leave it up to you to decide where you want to spend most of your time, whether that be on the golf course, visiting the Palace or even just strolling one of the beaches.
Your Edinburgh tour itinerary
·After I pick you up at our agreed on time, we'll head out of Edinburgh and stop off at South Queensferry where you'll be able to get views of the iconic Forth Road & Rail bridges and grab a coffee if you'd like. ·From there we'll make our way North East to the coastal town of St Andrews, where we'll explore its main centre, local shops, as well as the old golf course & St Andrews Cathedral. ·If your appetite opens up here, we'll be able to have lunch at Forgan's in the town or Rusacks, with views of the course. ·We'll then make our way round the coast to the picturesque fishing village of Anstruther and Crail Harbour. It's also possible to have lunch here at an award winning fish & chips shop. ·15 minutes along the road we'll visit the popular seaside town of Elie. ·As we start to head back west, we'll stop off at the charming village of Falkland.
