Overview of your Edinburgh tour
Enjoy a fabulous 4 day trip of the Scottish Highlands, the Isle of Skye and the West Coast. On this trip we will visit a range of dramatic scenery as we cover from the lowlands out to the west and onto the western islands before heading into the magnificent highlands. You will have time to explore the beautiful landscapes and learn the stories of this small nation's turbulent past. There is nothing quite like being in the location as you soak up the stories and travel back in your own little time machine. By the end of this trip you will have a far greater understanding of my little part of the world but as a cautionary note, some of my stories are actually true.
Your Edinburgh tour itinerary
Day 1: Passing by Loch Lomond we will stop at the Rest and Be Thankful, visit the village of Inverary with its Wizard of Oz style castle and drive by beautiful lochs and mountains as we wind our way to the town of Oban on the far west coast. Day 2: From Oban we will drive through Glencoe to Fort William, Spean Bridge, Fort Augustus and then on to the Isle of Skye. Day 3: Morning tour around Skye, Eilean Donan Castle finally to Loch Ness Day 4: Visit Culloden, Clava Cairns, Whisky Distillery, House of Bruar and return to hotel Customization of this tour possible upon request.
