WE have taken many private tours. Our group all agreed that of all the intl. tours we have taken Paulo's tour ranks supreme. He describes this tour as hidden gems, and that is exactly what we saw. Paulo showed us the most important sights of Lisbon but also those hidden parts, and sights that most tourists don't get to see. Paulo didn't bore us with facts but just wowed us about Lisbon. Our guide, Paulo, was fantastic, with a great mix of history and local knowledge to keep us engaged and entertained throughout the day. He not only planned a perfect day for us, but he also made sure we had cold water, hand sanitizer, and chargers for our phones. He thought of everything. We used him for 2 other tours all of which were perfect.
After a short panoramic tour through some historical quarters of Lisbon, we will visit Estrela, one of Lisbon's historical quarters. Stop at the Basilica da Estrela. Visit to the heart of the historical center of Lisbon Baixa. We will also drive to the famous Statue of Christ- Cristo Rei- opposite of Lisbon. (You also have the possibility to use the lift to go up to the Statue upon payment). In the famous Belém quarter we will visit the Jerónimos Monastery * a World Heritage Monument (closed on Monday) and make a brief stop at the Belém Tower- world heritage by UNESCO (Torre de Belém), point of departure of some of the Portuguese maritime explorations, such as on the Monument to the Discoveries (Padrão dos Descobrimentos), built to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the 'death' of Prince Henry the Navigator. *Due to the limited number of visitors allowed inside and consequently the huge lines we may not be able to visit the church of the Jeronimos Monastery.
