I’ve often been described as friendly and communicative, always eager to lend a helping hand. I was born in Lisbon and raised between this vibrant city and the Portuguese central-west coast, giving me an interesting blend of urban and coastal roots. I am a passionate surfer, and I have dedicated much of my life to the ocean and teaching this sport and lifestyle to others. I began my journey in the tourism industry in the late 90s, building a strong foundation of knowledge and experience. My love for sharing Portugal with travellers led me to take a degree in tourism (tour guiding and tourism marketing), for which I deeply studied Portugal and the best way to promote it. Later, a post-graduate degree in adventure tourism gave me better tools to explore and share my country's secrets. Since then, I’ve embraced the opportunity to welcome travellers from around the world, with whom I shared the essence of Portuguese culture. Now, as a proud family man with two children, I can confidently say that parenthood is the greatest adventure of my life. Music is my third passion; I studied jazz drumming and have enjoyed playing drums and percussion in various projects. Conscious that Lisbon’s strategic location offers access to some of Portugal's most authentic treasures within just an hour’s drive, I've crafted unique routes and experiences around the city. Overview of your Lisbon tour
Short on time in the Lisbon region but want to see its must-visit highlights? This tour is for you! After picking you up in Lisbon, we’ll drive to the enchanted town of Sintra and visit one monument, such as the magical Pena Park and Palace. You can choose to visit another monument instead, or simply visit the small historic town centre of Sintra. The tour also covers the Belém district, home to famous 16th-century landmarks that represent Portugal’s Golden Age of Discoveries. Here, we can’t miss the legendary Pastéis de Belém pastry shop. The final part of the tour focuses on Lisbon’s historic city centre. Depending on the drop-off location, I’ll choose the best route, driving along Lisbon’s most important squares and avenues and stopping at one of the city’s famous viewpoints. By the end of the day, you’ll have enjoyed a rich, well-rounded introduction to Lisbon and Sintra, combining history, culture, scenery, and local flavours.
Your Lisbon tour itinerary
- Pick-up from your chosen location for a 45-minute drive to Sintra. - Guided visit to Pena Palace. - Drive 25 minutes to the historic district of Belém. - In Belém, you'll visit the Belém Tower (outside), Jeronimos monastery (outside) and church (inside-optional) - You'll experience the original custard tart factory, Pastéis de Belém. - Lastly, we’ll do a panoramic drive over Lisbon's famous squares and avenues, stopping at one of the city's iconic viewpoints. You may choose to visit another monument instead of the Pena Palace, like Quinta da Regaleira or Sintra National Palace. Important Note: *Monument tickets are not included, and some require a timed slot. I will send you a link to purchase the tickets and assist you in selecting the correct time. Last-minute bookings may result in limited availability. **Please note that Sintra is a mountainous area, and it is hilly everywhere you go. ***I can customise this tour and adjust it to your personal preferences.
