After our tour of Lisbon the day before, we were fortunate to spend a second day with Gerardo on an adventure to Sintra and surrounding areas. His historical knowledge and his ability to skirt the crowds was most beneficial to see and learn much about the area. We enjoyed the Pena castle and I loved the walk through the gardens to get into the quaint village of Sintra. Had a fun lunch and an eventful and satisfying day.
Sintra, beach, lunch at shore, and Cascais tour was a full day and flexibly customized to our wishes. Great recommendation for a lunch spot overlooking an Atlantic beach with outstanding surf. We felt safe and secure driving around.

He was so efficient in knowing the best times to arrive, which tickets we needed as well as avoiding all of the long cues. His knowledge of the area and its rich history is outstanding. Geraldo is a wonderful guide. We had a very enjoyable time learning the history of the Pena Palace. We was great to see the town of Sintra, have a wonderful lunch on the coast and experience the beaches and waterfront in CasCais.
We will go straight to Sintra, which is 20 miles away from Lisbon in a 30 minutes trip. First Stop is the Pena Palace, the extravagant Portuguese palace built on a rock altitude 1500ft dominating the entire coast to Lisbon. The Arabic architecture and Manueline very present in this palace, give life to the pure romantic style Portuguese. Then at historic Center we will make a short walk tour at the historic Center and see the National Palace. Time to enjoy the mood of the village and try the "travesseiro" typical sweet of Sintra. On the road to lunch we will see Quinta Regaleira and Monserrate Palace from the outside After lunch we visit Roca Cape, the most western point in Europe and its beautiful cliffs. Finally we will reached the most cosmopolitan village Cascais, where you will experiment a little walk in the bay. The return to Lisbon is along the round with an amazing view to the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful beaches in this coast line.
