I am a certified guide and I have been leading and guiding hundreds of tours in the last 12 years. With me you will visit both the well-known tourist attractions as well as the secret gems. Thanks to my extensive experience working as a private guide for a wide variety of travelers I have learned to be a mix between a scholar tour guide and a local expert. We enjoyed a full day with Tiago. Prior to our trip we had a very good back and forth with him discussing the various options of where to go and see. He gave it meaningful thought and resultantly our day proved exception and tailored. I am mobility challenged and for this type of sightseeing I require the use of a wheelchair, although I can walk short distances. Tiago’s advance planning insured we maximized our options. He was the “mind and muscle” of this wonderful day. Tiago is a fluent english speaker and very knowledgeable; communicates well. He recommended a Portuguese restaurant for lunch in Caicais that was outstanding!! We recommend this guide for your Lisbon and surrounding area’s sightseeing unqualifiedly.

Tiago is a lovely gentleman, kind and knowledgeable. You do need to ask questions in order for free flowing information, as he is not particularly chatty. But he shared about the history of Sintra and daily life of the Portuguese people. I did share with Tiago before our tour that while we do not like to wait in long lines, we would like to visit and walk around one of the lesser crowded castles of the area and I think we did that. Interesting, but not a must do. Cais Cais is lovely.
