Hello my name is Andreia and I'm a licensed tour guide since 2009. I also have a master's degree on Portuguese Modern History and the Discoveries. Besides my passion for Portugal as my homeland, I have a big interest also on photography, food, vintage, Japan and South Korea. Lisbon is a former capital of a big empire dating back to the 16th century; although it suffered with a big earthquake in 1755, it is a very old city, and the influence of the several peoples that passed by can be felt around every corner. With me you'll be able to walk through the different areas of Lisbon or if you need a more comfortable option, I can also provide a car along with my expertise so that everyone has a chance to see the city. But if you need to get to know other parts of Lisbon, we can also get a car and explore Sintra, a wonderful UNESCO World Heritage Site! My tours are standard, but If there is a particular side of Lisbon that you'd like to see let me know and I will try to adapt to it and make it more appealing to you. Get to know the city of Lisbon with ease. I will pick you up along with a car and a driver for your own comfort and be able to show you some of the highlights of the city. Amongst them there's a great view over Lisbon, Alfama, downtown Lisbon and the UNESCO heritage site Belém, where the navigators departed to explore the unknown seas. This historical place is also loved by portuguese families for a Sunday afternoon stroll, where children can also play and parents finish the day by having a delicious custard tart. The Confeitaria that created them has been active since 1837, and they can sell an average of 30. 000 a day! Do you want to try it out? This is the standard tour but if you want I can adapt it to your own interests.
Andrea gave our Group of 5 a wonderful overview of her hometown on our first day in Lissabon . She was very punctual , had a deep knowledge of history and on any fields of interest for all age of our group. As a certified tourist Guide she gives visitors from abroad insights and good recommandations without « suggarpainting ».
Andreia was absolutely fantastic- she could be a historian! She was passionate about Portuguese culture and history and was so much fun to be with. We learned so much and the tour was absolutely seamless and easy. The driver Miguel was always one step ahead of us - we never waited anywhere. We wanted to see as much as we could while driving and it was the perfect arrangement . We can't recommend her enough! We would give her 10 stars if we could!
