Lisbon Wine Escape Half-Day Tour with Local Wines

This tour is the perfect short "escape" from the city, a real wine escape. I pick you up at your accommodation or at the Cruise port in Lisbon, and we all head West to the lush and magnificent West Region, completely off the beaten path. We head to a winery in the Lisbon wine region, one of the 14 regions of wine in Portugal, where we visit a Portuguese winery, be amazed by the views and astonishing scenery, explore the vineyards and learn all about the wine-making process. At the end of the visit, in a very informal way, we are going to taste six wines: - One Sparkling, - One Rosé, - Two White - Two Red

We’ll pick you up at your accommodation or at the Cruise Port and head west to the magnificent Adega Mãe, about 30 minutes from Lisbon. The tour starts with a visit to the beautiful vineyards around the winery and learn about the different wine varieties spreading along the hills and their individual characteristics. Afterwards, you are going to learn about the process of making the wine and the challenges the wine makers face daily. The last stop of the visit is the Temple room, where the wine rests in wood barrels and where the magic happens. Last but not least, you are going to taste six wines (1 Sparkling, 1 Rosé, 2 reds and 2 whites), understand the differences among them and be inebriated with their characteristics. Everything happens in a totally informal way; the idea is to learn, taste and have fun.
