Hi, my name is Bart. Great news that you're planning to visit The Netherlands. I'd love to contribute to make your stay unforgettable. A 5-hour out of town tour to the windmills and the cute town of Edam
Overview of your Amsterdam tour
I will pick you up from your hotel in Amsterdam and we’ll start at the original Zaansche Schans village where you will experience working authentic windmills. And we’ll be able to walk into one or two of these great windmills. I particularly like Piet Kempenaars pigmentmill “De Kat” and Tim Doeves woodsaw windmill “Het Jonge Schaap”. During our stroll through the village we’ll be able to taste a “stroopwafel” and some good Dutch cheese at the Henri Willig cheese shop. Then off to nearby Edam, where we will have lunch at one of my favorite lunch spots and where we will do a wonderful town walk. To enjoy Edam’s canals, its wonderful town hall, its cheese, the impressive Grote Kerk, the place of the former Edam cheese market and Edam’s oldest merchant house from 1555AD with its unique floating cellar. We’ll go into one or two of these wonderful sites depending on their opening days and hours. I will check the opportunities depending on our tour day.

I suggest to pick you up from your hotel in Amsterdam at 9.30AM. We will hit the: - Zaansche Schans village. - Piet Kempenaars’ pigment mill and Pim Doeves woodsaw mill - Former Edam’s cheese market location. - Edam’s Town Hall and dam square. - Edam’s Grote Kerk and the old Proveniers-courtyard. - Edam’s Kwakelbridge - Merchant canal house from 1555AD
