Hello! My name is Adriaan. I am an historian and an experienced tour guide in my hometown Amsterdam. Besides that I am a photographer who makes reportages on various hotspots in the world. Amsterdam is beautiful and Amsterdam is fantastic! Are you new, do you just want to explore the city or you didn't had time to read the brochures? Be my guest. It has a fascinating history, unalike many other European cities. Indeed, stories to tell. After my tour you see the city with different eyes. During our walk along iconic places I tell you in an understandable way (with Amsterdam humor) about the history and background of the city. The general history completed with anecdotes. When you visit the Rijksmuseum and/or make a boat tour along the canals afterwards you see the city differently. Master Degree in History (modern and contemporary history).
