Hi there! I might be new to Tours by Locals, but I'm not new to guiding. Since 2017 I have been working as a freelance tour guide. I have extensive experience guiding all ages. I am also a Dutch multi-disciplinary artist (since 2004) and electronic musician. And I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and in Arts and Design Education. I also have extensive experience in teaching students aged 5 - 95 in all various aspects of art, and have run media workshops, art critique courses and motion graphic studies. Due to my diverse background I'm incredibly fascinated by the city's wealth of stories, from art to (Jewish) history and colonial heritage which I'm keen to share. My tours are lively, in-depth and delivered with a sense of humor. I love connecting the dots and interacting with curious travellers. In my free time I love to make CG-based art and music, touring through Europe as a DJ or reading up on my favourite subjects like art-history, Amsterdam (colonial history) , sociology, esoteric philosophies and psychology. All my tours can be customised and in case of the need for entry tickets will have to be customized. Please do not hesitate to contact me and ask. The Vincent van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam holds the biggest collection of Vincent van Gogh paintings, drawings and personal artefacts in the world. Join me in an in depth interactive tour where you get to know the works and live of Vincent van Gogh and his peers in 2 hours. See "The Sunflowers" , the self portraits and beautiful landscapes such as "Wheatfield With Reaper" and "Almond blossoms". (all paintings mentioned are subject to the paintings being on display in the museums, some works might be on loan). End the tour with a wealth of knowledge about everything Vincent van Gogh.

Josje B was our tour guide and she was great. She was very prompt and we had a short walk to the Museum where we were able to enter immediately. Josje was very knowledgeable so we learned a lot about Van Gogh, his life and paintings. Josje was also very agreeable to concentrate on the subject areas that we were most interested in. The museum wasn't terribly crowded so we were able to have great views and were able to get very close to the paintings.
