Enjoy the picturesque Edam and Broek in Waterland towns just north of Amsterdam. This interesting 4-hour tour with a certified Dutch guide shows you the best Edam and Broek in Waterland have to offer. These charming historic towns surrounded by the beautiful Holland countryside are off the beaten path, and take you back in time to the wealthy 17th and 18th century.
Start from Amsterdam Central Station, and travel by public transport to Edam. Edam was once a thriving and wealthy cheese trading town. It's picturesque streets are lined with beautiful houses from the Golden Age. We will also pass by a shipyard, an old church, the Dam and the square where the cheese market used to be held. Afterwards, we take the bus to the cute town Broek in Waterland, where colourful wooden houses take you back in time. This is a gorgeous little village where wealthy Amsterdam merchants loved to live. After a leisurely stroll in the most attractive area we will take the bus back to Amsterdam.
