Elke did a great job modifying our tour to exactly what we wanted. Went to North Holland to see the old wind Mills, historic villages, and tulip fields. She was very knowledgeable of the history of the area. Would book it again.

Our Amsterdam and Countryside Tour with Elke was wonderful. We toured the city, part of it via canal boat, and then headed out to the countryside for lunch. She explained the system of ring canals, dikes and windmill-operated pumps that made it possible to live on and farm land that is below sea level. Then we visited a working windmill to observe the pumping process, and a beautiful rural village nearby before returning to our ship. Elke is an excellent guide and a very nice person to share a day with.

Elke had a lovely tour planned. We walked around Amsterdam and learned many interesting facts. We then boarded a quick ferry to reach her car and venture out into the countryside. Our tour was delightful and the we were able to visit a windmill, quaint village and go to a cheese factory. Our history lesson was great.
