Hi, my name is Bart. Great news that you're planning to visit The Netherlands. I'd love to contribute to make your stay unforgettable. I live with my family in the middle of Amsterdam and we enjoy the city every day. With my own consultancy firm I work with people from all over the world. It is so much fun to meet new people with completely different backgrounds and hearing their stories. My family and I also have great memories of our three years stay in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm passionate about history, culture and art to feel and understand the choices made by people and to discover their stories that affect our lives today. If ever I'd need to stay on a desert island, I'd definitely bring my jazz music, mountain bike, great beers and cheese. I enjoy sharing my love for Amsterdam and all the incredible sites The Netherlands has to offer. I'm looking forward to showing you around and for you to experience and enjoy these special places. There are so many nice places to visit. So, if you have any special requests, I can easily set up a custom tour for you. All my regular tours are priced with Amsterdam as our starting point. But, should you want to start anywhere else, that's absolutely no problem. If you would like to compile a multi-day program with me? No problem! Just let me know and we'll put a nice program together. I love to customize my tours to your preferences and ideas. Half of my tours are custom tours! Next to my regular tours I would love to show you Belgium (e.g. Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels). If you would like to do that out of Amsterdam I might be a very suitable tourguide for you. I've toured with travelers from all over the world: USA, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, Guatemala, England, Kenia, South Africa, The Philippines and Hong Kong. Always a joy to have fun with foreigners!

If you've already covered Amsterdam's Highlights, then let me take you off the beaten track to experience another face of old Amsterdam. We'll start in the old town and will stroll along the Amstel river. We'll walk through the jewish quarter and the area where all 17th century canals touch the river Amstel. We'll hit many old water management sites that still do a great job today. On our way I will share many points of interest with personal stories of how families lived and worked in Amsterdam throughout the centuries. You will experience and enjoy the unique history of Amsterdam life and the effects it still has on our lives today. We will also see the places where Anne Frank lived with her family before going into hiding and where she went to school. On our way, I will show you many places where you can have a great meal and where you can chill out wonderfully during your stay. I am a storyteller. Are you ready to hear my Amsterdam stories?
I suggest we start at 10 AM at the Rembrandt house. But if you like , I can pick you up from your hotel or we can change the time. Just let me know. We will hit the: Rembrandt House, Waterlooplein flea-market, Moses and Aaron church, Blauwe brug (Blue Bridge), Jewish quarter, Hermitage, Jan Six Family Home, Skinny Bridge and Amstel locks, Anne Frank's school and family home, Albert Cuyp market. And we'll be hitting many other points of interest on our way. Anything else on your bucket? Great! Just let me know and I will customize the tour for you. Please inquire for a quote.
