Good day! Just contact me and we built your tour together! My name is Wilbert B. Born Dutch and I love showing you my country and make good memories together! My interest for nature and cultural- and national Dutch history, combined with the pleasure I get from giving people a good time are the main reasons for being a guide. I only guide groups of more than 8 people if they themselves arrange or have arranged transportation for it.

In the night of May 10th 1940 the Germans invaded The Netherlands. Todays tour will highlight the invasion as well as the liberation as a result of operation Market Garden. From this perspective the tour will take you to those places of interest that mark this dark period in our history. A visit to the "National Liberation Museum" is included. This tour will bring us to the Nijmegen-Arnhem region and back.
We had a wonderful tour with Wilbert, covering all the important sites of Operation Market Garden, as well as the Overloon Museum. Wilbert has extensive knowledge of the details of the Campaign and presents the information in an interesting and informative manner. He is professional, courteous and very friendly.
Wilbert is an excellent guide we used for a market garden tour from Amsterdam. He was very communicative in planning and then following up. The day is full and long. You see much f netherlands in addition to the military part. On your he is an excellent driver and storyteller. Also our lunch was great. Highly recommended for history buffs.

Wilbert is an excellent guide and we had a great time on our Market-Garden tour. There was lots related to this operation and WWII in general to see, even with the long passage of time. Plus Wilbert has tremendous insight into Dutch history and current life in The Netherlands, and we really enjoyed talking to him and learning so much!
Wahoo, Wil! He is a combination of knowledge & resourcefulness rolled into a friendly, compassionate guide whose great communication skill helped us to appreciate Holland. From water management to Operation Market Garden to cultural (& agricultural), he imparted info & answered ?s. He solved a sudden mobility issue & took us to local eateries. We wish we had Wil for our day out of Rotterdam. That TbL guide was ok. After having Will as our guide for 2 days, we agreed Wil was THE guide to have.
Wilbur was an excellent guide who really had a grasp of the logistics of Operation Market Garden. Even though the tour was for 10 hours, it was nicely paced so it was not exhausting and really gave us a feel for the terrain. He had informative visual aids including a battlefield diagram where he could show the position and movements of the various armies. He also had great photos of the towns from that period. He took us to a great local pancake house for lunch. Overall an A++ tour.
