Away from the crowded Amsterdam city, you will be taken first to the beautiful Paleis Het Loo. The drive will take about 60 minutes. Paleis Het Loo was renovated and reopened in 2022. You will be able to visit the Palace, Garden and the Stables. After visiting the Paleis Het Loo, we will explore the lesser-known castles in the region. These include Castle Groeneveld (garden/surroundings), Castle De Hooge Vuursche (view from outside), Castle Sloterdijk (view from outside), and a few others. Once we finish exploring them all, it's time for us to drive to the 13th-century Castle Muiderslot. After the visit, you will be dropped back at the hotel or the location of your preference in Amsterdam.
This was a great tour and a must-do for anyone interested in seeing how the Dutch royalty history and seeing how they lived. Our guide was very pleasant, interesting and informative. His transportation was roomy and very comfortable. Overall, this was an outstanding tour that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam.
If you like to visit royal palaces this is the tour for you. It's away from the city and much quieter than Amsterdam. The buildings and gardens were amazing at Paleis Loo. We also visited Muiderslot which was a well restored Medieval Castle. Gopi did a good job as a driver and guide but could have a more indepth knowledge of the history and furnishings.
We had an excellent tour with Gopi. The car was clean and comfortable. We visited some interesting castles and palaces. I definitely recommend this tour if you want a reasonably priced private day trip out of Amsterdam.
Gopinath arrived promptly. The tour was conducted professionally. He was knowledgeable regarding the content of the tour. The castles and palaces we visited were amazing. My only caution is if you have physical limitations Gopinath may not be the best tour guide for you. When booking the tour we informed Gopinath that one of us was unable to walk long distance or climb to many stairs. He was supportive but also defensive. When he quotes the tour description to you he is denying his responsibility.
