I am Yvonne, specialized in Amsterdam tours. Born Dutch, traveled the world, living in Amsterdam. I love history, architecture, legendary stories and culture. During a private Amsterdam tour I can show you the must see attractions such as Dam square, the historic beauty and cultural wealth of the old town and the Canals as well as places "off the beaten path". Always with a personal touch, because I want your trip to Amsterdam to be memorable and fun. Whether you are interested in an overview tour, a tour of multiple days, a tour for a special occasion, if you have plans to work or study in Amsterdam, a tasting, a theme, walking or in combination with boat I like to organize the experience for you. Originally from the South West of the Netherlands, my private tour will offer you a view of Amsterdam, as a local would see it, including little known facts from a point of view only a local would have. I've traveled for many years around the world: I made a world trip, visited India three times and had the opportunity to do volunteer work in one of the houses founded by Mother Teresa; Went on a bicycle road trip through the Western United States from New Mexico to the Canadian border; and visited South America and Spain more than once. I am also an experienced tour guide. While living and working for several years in Mexico, I organized and led two, three and four week trips throughout Mexico and Central America. One of my best memories is leading a trip to Guatemala where my group and I helped locals with the construction of houses in poor villages. After returning to the Netherlands I settled in Amsterdam where I live in a lively neighborhood in which many different nationalities and cultures are represented. Making connections with cultures from all over the world is something I am passionate about. Overview of your Amsterdam tour

The Netherlands and Amsterdam in particular have a long tradition of migrants, different religions and tolerance. During this private tour we walk by churches, synagogues and I tell you about hidden churches. We visit the oldest part of Amsterdam, Dam square with World War II monuments and the former Jewish neighborhood. I recommend a short coffee/tea break. I like to share my knowledge about the culture, the people and legendary stories that make Amsterdam so unique. Learn about the architecture of merchant houses, history, life nowadays and discover places you will not find easily on your own. We can start your private walking tour from the lobby of your accommodation in the historical center, I can meet you at the cruise terminal or any central location. Amsterdam is the greatest small city in the world, perfect for walking and so much to see.
