Hi, my name is Bart. Great news that you're planning to visit The Netherlands. I'd love to contribute to make your stay unforgettable. I live with my family in the middle of Amsterdam and we enjoy the city every day. With my own consultancy firm I work with people from all over the world. It is so much fun to meet new people with completely different backgrounds and hearing their stories. My family and I also have great memories of our three years stay in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm passionate about history, culture and art to feel and understand the choices made by people and to discover their stories that affect our lives today. If ever I'd need to stay on a desert island, I'd definitely bring my jazz music, mountain bike, great beers and cheese. I enjoy sharing my love for Amsterdam and all the incredible sites The Netherlands has to offer. I'm looking forward to showing you around and for you to experience and enjoy these special places. There are so many nice places to visit. So, if you have any special requests, I can easily set up a custom tour for you. All my regular tours are priced with Amsterdam as our starting point. But, should you want to start anywhere else, that's absolutely no problem. If you would like to compile a multi-day program with me? No problem! Just let me know and we'll put a nice program together. I love to customize my tours to your preferences and ideas. Half of my tours are custom tours! Next to my regular tours I would love to show you Belgium (e.g. Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels). If you would like to do that out of Amsterdam I might be a very suitable tourguide for you. I've toured with travelers from all over the world: USA, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, Guatemala, England, Kenia, South Africa, The Philippines and Hong Kong. Always a joy to have fun with foreigners!

We'll start off in The Hague with a wonderful citywalk and its beautiful government sites: the Binnenhof and medieval Hall of Knights, the Royal Palace Noordeinde, Old church, the 19th century Passage shopping mall and the old and notorious medieval prison. Andrew Carnegie's Peace Palace is closed for guided tours, but the palace has a very good 30 minute audiotour at their visitors' centre. We'll grab lunch at a nice place. Then off to Delft, the town of the painter Johannes Vermeer and the Prinsenhof, the famous old residence of our founding father William of Orange. An emotional place for every Dutchman. We will close our tour with a city walk along a 17th century courtyard, the wonderful town hall and New Church where all members of the Dutch royal Orange family are buried.
I suggest I will pick you up at your hotel at 9AM and we will be back at your hotel at 4PM. In The Hague we will hit: - the Binnenhof, Ridderzaal and Mauritshuis - Houses of parliament - Old Church - Royal Palace Noordeinde and Passage - Carnegie's Peace Palace In Delft we will do a city walk along: - Prinsenhof - Nieuwe Kerk - a cute courtyards - Town Hall If you want, I am happy to customize the tour for you. E. g. the Mauritshuis museum with a world renowned selection of paintings by Dutch Masters (e. g. Rembrandt's Anatomical Lesson of Dr. Tulp and Vermeer's The Girl With The Pearl Earring and his Vue on Delft). Or going into the Old Delft pottery factory. We would need some extra time for any one of these. Please inquire for a quote.

For up to 3 travelers, we'll take my car. A Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan. Quite comfortable with 3 guests (see my pictures). For 4 to 6 travelers, we will arrange a luxury rental van (see my pictures). For a rental van I need to add 330 euro to the costs of this tour. Just let me know your preference.
The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands
I will pick you up at your Amsterdam hotel or the Amsterdam cruiseterminal.
