I don’t focus on souvenir shops, chocolate shops, or TikTok lines, but I can tell you how old buildings are, which streets were canals or dikes, and where figures like Rembrandt and Van Gogh lived and worked. Vincent was excellent. Not only was he very well prepared, knowledgeable, accommodating and flexible he had a great sense of humor. He was also very helpful as one of the women in our group had a problem with one of her legs and he was very aware and considerate.

Vincent was a pleasure to tour with around Amsterdam. He showed the four of us the highlights and explained the history which was very interesting. We were traveling with my friends son (a 25 year old autistic male) and my mother (85 years old). Vincent was very compassionate and caring towards both of them and keeping a pace that suited us all. I always tailor the route to your interests, but I typically include a selection of the following areas: * Historic city centre of Amsterdam * Dam Square, the heart of the city * Amstel River and its bridges * Rembrandt Square * Waterlooplein and its historic surroundings * Nieuwmarkt and the old city gates area The Jewish Quarter and its historical sites can also be included, although this requires a bit more walking depending on time and route. Please note that guiding inside the Red Light District is not permitted. However, I can walk around the area and share historical and cultural context so you understand its role in the city.
