We will walk through the oldest part of the capital of the Netherlands, passing iconic buildings like the former city gate De Waag, the Royal Palace, the Rembranthouse, the Red Light district and much more. I will tell you about the important role the Jewish community played in the success of the city. We will visit a few very special monuments that are raised in memory of what happened to so many of our fellow Jewish citizens during the Nazi occupation in World War 2. If you like, and if you book at least 6 weeks in advance, I can get you tickets to the Anne Frank Museum.Let me know as soon as you have booked. I will send you a seperate 'tour' for the tickets.
Central Train Station, Schreiers Tower, Red Light District, De Waag, Royal Palace, Rembrandt House. Auschwitz Monument, Hollandse Schouwburg memorial, Holocaust Names monument The walk ends at Waterlooplein Flee Market, from where you can easily get a streetcar or subway back to the station or, for instance, to the Anne Frank house.
