Hi, my name is Bart. Great news that you're planning to visit The Netherlands. I'd love to contribute to make your stay unforgettable. I live with my family in the middle of Amsterdam and we enjoy the city every day. With my own consultancy firm I work with people from all over the world. It is so much fun to meet new people with completely different backgrounds and hearing their stories. My family and I also have great memories of our three years stay in Charlotte, North Carolina. We'll start at the Zaansche Schans with genuine, working windmills and historic North Holland houses. We'll go into Piet Kempenaars pigment mill. The off to the small Marken village. A small fishing community on their own island. We'l take a stroll through the village and will grab lunch at the Marken marina. Then off to the super scenic Gein River. Driving along the Gein river we will reach Abcoude. A typical Dutch cute small town south of Amsterdam. I love the café De Eendracht. And we'll take a town walk to taste normal Dutch small-town living.
Bart was extremely accommodating with schedule changes. He met us in Antwerp and drove back to holland to see the outskirts of amsterdam. He took us to the lovely town of delft, saw windmills and even visited a family owned cheese farm. Bart was knowledgeable and was very informative about the surrounding areas. He even made sure that we made the train back to Antwerp. I would highly recommend Bart if you are visiting amsterdam.
Fun family friendly day. Visiting windmills, sampling cheese, and learning new thing was very fun. The working windmills are fascinating. we sampled some local treats and shopped at unique shops. Our guide Bart was very nice and gave us several options of additional things we might enjoy in Amsterdam. Communication was prompt. we never felt rushed and enjoyed all of his stories and insight of the area.
This is my suggested itinerary, but this itinerary is also completely customizable so please let me know what you would like to see and do and I will create a customized tour itinerary for you. - We will meet at the agreed location at 9AM and I will give you a quick recap of the planned itinerary for the day. - Zaansche Schans (approx. 1, 5 hours): this is our first stop. We will walk through the village to enjoy its windmils and historic North Holland houses. We'll go into the wonderful Piet Kempenaars pigment mill. The village has lots of great photo oppportunities. - Marken: the cute fishing village (approx. 2 hours). We take a village walk and will grab lunch at the marina. - Gein river: on our way back to Amsterdam we'll drive along the scenic Gein river where Piet Mondriaan made many paintings in his days. - Abcoude (approx. 2 hours): we'll stroll through this typical Dutch village and will take a great break at the old Café de Eendracht. At 6PM we will be back at the agreed location in Amsterdam.

For up to 3 travelers we will use my car. A Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan. Quite comfortable with 3 guests (see my pictures). For a party of 4 to 6 I will arrange a luxury rental van (see my pictures). The added cost for this van will be 366 euros. Please let me know the size of your party or your preference.
