Join me on this must-see tour of Mexico City, where we'll delve into the rich tapestry of Hispanic and Aztec culture. I'll share my passion for the architectural treasures and intangible heritage of New Spain, as well as the traditions, beliefs, and ruins of the magnificent Aztec civilization. Gathering at the iconic Palace of Fine Arts, we'll discuss Mexican architecture and culture. As we walk through historic streets, I'll point out to colonial treasures, share about the transformation of Mexico over the centuries and provide insights into contemporary life. We'll explore the enduring Spanish traditions among Mexicans, the impact of the anti-religious wars, and significant landmarks like the Constitution Square ("Zocalo") and the Aztec ruins of the Templo Mayor. Along the way, I'll provide vital tips for navigating the city, safe routes, pointing out places to avoid (tourist traps). We'll also uncover legends and hidden stories inside the Metropolitan Cathedral.
·After meeting at Palace of Fine arts, we'll go to the pedestrian street Francisco I. Madero and enter the Palace of the Counts Valle de Orizaba (Palace of the Azulejos). ·Afterwards, we'll step into Balvanera Chapel and Saint Francis Church. ·What follows will be the facade of the Palace of the Emperor Agustin de Iturbide. ·Next, we'll see the outside of the Palace of one of the richest men in the world. ·Later we'll step into the temple of San Felipe Neri (La Profesa). ·Afterwards, we'll reach Constitution Square ("Zocalo"). ·We'll then see the Aztec Ruins of the Templo Mayor. ·Next, we'll visit the Metropolitan Cathedral. ·Later we'll walk along the oldest Street in the American Continent (Tacuba). ·We'll then reach the Equestrian Statue of Charles the IV and the Palace of the National Museum of Arts. ·We'll then pass by the Palace of Mining and later step into the Postal Palace. ·Next, we'll pass by a location of the film 007 James Bond Spectre. ·We'll finish back at the Palace of Fine Arts.

To get to the meeting point, the easiest and safest way is to call an Uber or Didi taxi (do not take the pink and white taxis from the streets). If you prefer public transportation, the nearest metro station is Bellas Artes, Line 2 (blue).
