Though my love for Mexico’s history and culture has been with me since my student days, my career initially took a very different route, leaving this passion as a “side hobby.” After graduating with a degree in Actuarial Sciences (plus a side degree in Art and History), I found myself navigating the corporate world. While I did enjoy making spreadsheets, after a few years, I tried launching my own business. It was an exciting challenge, but like many, I wasn’t prepared for COVID-19, which, predictably, took things in a very different direction. For the first time in years, I sat down to reflect on what I truly wanted, and I realized my passion was with the stories and legends that breathe life into this dynamic, crazy, and lively city. Making the leap from my office desk job to freelance tour guiding was a game-changer, and I’ve never looked back. My journey's been driven by a passion for history and learning. Even when it was “just a hobby,” I spent two decades devouring books, documentaries, novels, articles, podcasts, you name it. I was fortunate enough to learn English early, which allowed me to explore a wider universe of history, points of view, and of course, a few guilty-pleasure conspiracy theories. History isn’t just a subject for me; it’s a calling. I’ve immersed myself in its stories, its people, and its fascinating details because I’m genuinely passionate about it. And now, I’m thrilled to share that passion with every traveler I have the pleasure of guiding through this remarkable city.
