Hello dear traveler! I'm Anel, I was born in Mexico City, and I'm proud to be of Zapotec descent. Since I was a child, I enjoyed imagining what life in our country used to be like, wondering about the mentality of the ancient inhabitants and of their cultures. I even used to play recreating the great battles that marked our history and destiny. Growing up, life took me on parallel paths, as I graduated in Business with a specialty in Marketing. However, 8 years ago after a bit of an existential crisis, I rediscovered my childhood dream that never truly left me, and decided to become certified as a Tour Guide at the Escuela Superior de Turismo, and in 2020, I boarded a cruise ship to have an international tourism experience as well. Recently, I specialized in inclusive Tourism for people with limited vision and blindness. This led me to discover a new dimension of this beautiful profession by obtaining my International Certification with the National Association for Interpretation (NAI), raising my concept of Tourism to a higher purpose, which is to reflect on the conservation and protection of our cultural and natural heritage. I have just accumulated 7 full years of experience, 7 years since I left the business world to live my dream: sharing my love for my city's most emblematic places with travelers who, like you, like to appreciate architecture, culture, traditions, art, and gastronomy! If you have planned a travel itinerary to visit some of the world's most historically and culturally rich sites, multi-recognized by UNESCO, I'll gladly welcome you to México! My country ranks as the fifth worldwide travel destination and the first one on the American continent! So are you ready for your exciting trip? And have you thought of everything you need? If not, let me advise that you need an experienced and certified tour guide passionate about Mexican history and culture! I want to help you discover the connections between past and present. Come, I invite you to let me guide you so that you can connect and immerse yourself with Mexico, you will love it!

Experience a feast of flavours, scents & Mexican music played from canoes by exploring my neighbourhood alongside me, taking in its landscape which is deeply linked to water, where it's still possible to imagine what life was like in Mexico Valley before the Spanish colonization. Together we'll sail through water canals past little handmade islands called Chinampas, made by the area's inhabitants in the pre-columbian era. UNESCO recognized Xochimilco's outstanding universal value thanks to its creative agricultural system, with an unmatched fertility that's been in place in the Mexico City area for millennia. Let me tell you about Xochimilco's history, legends and secrets that shrouds it in an air of mystery. I want you to enjoy sailing aboard a traditional boat (trajinera), visiting a floral greenhouse and an amphibian farm inhabited by Xochimilco's most extraordinary endemic species, the Axolotl!
·The tour will start with a pick up from your lodging in México City, after which we'll depart to Xochimilco. ·On arrival, we'll head to the Belem de las Flores pier from where we'll get on board a Mexican trajinera boat. ·We'll proceed to come across several vendors at the embarcadero, where you'll get to taste local snacks such as corn, soft drinks, cocktails or even beer. You can even request a traditional song from the Mariachi! ·We'll then stop to visit a green house of floral and medicinal plants. ·What follows will be a visit to an amphibian farm. ·At last, we'll get back to the pier in order to return to our vehicle and drive back to your lodging.
