Hello, my name is Arturo, and I'm originally from Mexico City. I studied what I am most passionate about, which is Tourism, and graduated from the National Polytechnic Institute, the second most important public University in Mexico City. Back in the year 2000 I graduated as a guide, and since then I started working and doing what fascinates me which is the Tourism experience, managing either large or small groups, although now I am focused on private tours. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, do not hesitate to contact me. If you are passionate about history, art and architecture, whether colonial, modern or ancient, I am the right person for you! I guarantee great treatment and memorable tours.

On this tour we'll visit the last prehispanic canals in Xochimilco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Mexico City's 16 neighbourhoods. You'll marvel at a sight of about 3000 very colourful boats docked on clear waters, all with ladies' names. But it's not only the boats that are colourful: as we explore the area, we'll come across colourful locals, from artisans to Mariachis! You may even get the chance to taste tequila, pulque or mezcal here! This place has been open to the public for over half a century now, but before the Mexican Revolution it was off limits to anyone other than rich people. It's now as popular a place as ever, especially during weekends, where many families spend the day around the water. Besides the canals, we'll visit Coyoacan too, also known as the place of the coyotes. It is considered to be the first village in the American continent, founded in 1531. In addition to that, we'll visit the Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli museums, the murals at the UNAM and more!
Suggested Itinerary: ·After picking you up from an agreed location in the morning, we'll depart to the Xochimilco canals. ·On arrival, we'll get in a Trajinera (a typical local boat) and tour the canals for around an hour. ·Next, we'll head to Ciudad Universitaria, where we'll see the beautiful Olympic Stadium with artist Diego Rivera's famous mural that took 2 years to paint. ·We'll then see the astonishing Central Library which depicts the evolution of Mexico's history through its art: the prehispanic era, the conqueror's era, the Mexican revolution era and the modern era. ·Afterwards, we'll visit the Anahuacalli Museum. ·Later, we'll head to Coyoacán, where we'll we will walk through its squares and visit 2 markets, a culinary one and an artisan one. ·What follows will be a visit to the Frida Kahlo museum. ·At last, we'll return to drop you off at your preferred location within Mexico City.
