Hi! Welcome to one of the greatest cities in the world. Let me show you around. I'm a history and anthropology enthusiast, an art and culture expert, writer, amateur photographer, food scientis and professional brewer, born and raised in Mexico City. I've been exploring the city since I was a little kid, I know its ins and outs, the classic landmarks, and the hidden secrets. I would love to share all of this with you. I've lived in various cities both in and outside Mexico, so whenever I came back, I would take some friends with me and show them around. I loved doing it, so I decided to train myself and research extensively in order to offer the best tours I could. I won't lie, this city is a monster, and as any monster can be kind of intimidating, but if you are kind and patient, with a little bit of help (hopefully my help), the monster will open up and show you the magic that's hiding in plain sight, in the middle of the chaos. This is your chance to get outside of the touristy restaurants and share a taco with your local food scientist and history enthusiast. We will go over some of the history and anthropology side of the iconic dishes while expiriencing four clean, safe, and traditional places. You will have the chance to try Pastor, bistec, tongue, chorizo, guts, short rib, and more. Even tho in the itinerary, I suggest typical dinner tacos, depending on the hour you want to do the tour, I will change the suggestions so they fit the meal we are dealing with (Ex. Barbacoa for breakfast or stew tacos for lunch)
Excellent food tour which we did just within the vicinity of our hotel in the historic center of Mexico City. Diego was very knowledgeable about the food and history of the city. Catered to what we wanted to know and eat. Also told us which restaurants to avoid. Very helpful!
