Overview of your Mexico City tour
Coyoacán is on of the eldest neighborhoods in Mexico City, its colonial past mixed with our prehispanic heritage makes of this neighborhood one of a kind. Our day will start at a local coffee shop that has been open since 1950s where will be trying some tortas and coffee before heading to one of the oldest churches in Mexico City, where our walking tour will start, first we'll walk to a food market where we can have fresh made juices, aguas frescas, tostadas and fried or grilled quesadillas. After some samples we will continue walking to the center of Coyoacan where we will visit a handcraft market, visit an old hacienda, wander through its streets while I tell some history and tales of the neighborhood until we arrive to the main market, which is one of my favorite ones, from elotes, to guacamole with chicharron, mole or tacos this is one of my favorite places to visit and enjoy the smells and flavors of Mexican food, if you are looking for souvenirs this can also be a great place for that.
