I'm a history and anthropology enthusiast, an art and culture expert, writer, amateur photographer, food scientis and professional brewer, born and raised in Mexico City. Overview of your Mexico City tour
There are a lot of beautiful magical towns near Mexico City, but come with me to discover two of the most beautiful among them! We'll start early in the morning driving next to the Iztaccihuatl volcano. We'll arrive in Cholula where you'll be able to taste a traditional poblano breakfast, contemplate the biggest pyramid of the world, and visit the beautiful colonial churches of the town. Afterward, we'll drive to Puebla city where we'll visit the Santo Domingo temple, Santa Rosa Convent, Puebla Cathedral, and Amparo Museum. In the end, you'll have time to wander around the beautiful streets of downtown Puebla, so you can discover magical places like the Tile Patio and the toad's alley.

This was our third tour with Diego in one week. He continued to be well-organized, upbeat, amusing, and knowledgeable. The day included a drive to Cholula with an excellent breakfast at a local spot in the shadow of an active volcano! We climbed to the top of a pyramid to visit the amazing church built atop it. We journeyed on to beautiful Puebla where we saw astounding churches, picturesque walkways, colorful tile work, and charming byways. It was a thoroughly satisfying day. Diego is a gem!

Diego was a superlative guide and went beyond the norm to get us the experience we were looking for both in Cholula/Puebla and San Miguel de Allende. We had a very comfortable drive on both days of our tours which were quite long because of the distance that we had to cover. We were entertained and informed during these long drives. I would strongly recommend him as a guide. The restaurants that we visited enroute were unique and were a superb local culinary experience for us.

Diego is the best tour guide I have had among perhaps 100 in many countries. Erudite, scholarly English, knowledgable about wvery imaginable subject. It is like he somehow has graduate-level training in ten fields somehow before age 30. Friendly. Good conversationalist. Pueblo and the Cholula pyramid where the best of many "Magical Towns" in Mexico that I have visited. I usually get bored by yet another fancy Cathedral, but we saw several that were world class. Stunning. Kudos to the Spanish.
