I'm a certified Mexican tour guide with years of experience with small and large groups inside Mexico City and its surroundings but also at colonial cities and the south of the country. I love Mexico City prehispanic and Colonial City history and our amazing cultural heritage ( food included) and I think this country of mine is one of the most interesting and culturally rich places to visit. Being a tourist guide for me means that you never stop learning and studying, in order to have all the tools and knowledge I can to make people love Mexico the way I do. I'm really lucky for living in a city where we can find plenty of historical places and where almost every building can tell you a little part of our history. Mexico city is a city full of life and we are always willing to meet new people, we well known for our good mood and our hospitality, so you wont regret choosing Mexico City as your destination. I have a degree on International Relations and studies of tourism, history and Nahuatl Language. I love animals and nature life, art and drawing, but my biggest passion is learning and being a tourist in my own country. I hope we can meet and you let me show this country I truly love. I'm certified as a federal tourist guide by Mexican Secretary of tourism. I am not a driver, but I can arrange for a driver and car rental if needed. For pick up included tours Santa Fe area and address outside Mexico City are not covered.

We will visit one of the most important religious places in Mexico, where most mexican show their devotion in really uniques days. My Main goal is to guide you through the place as I recall the events that led to the beginign of Lady of Guadalupe Cult, meanwhile we learn and experience the peace and joy this sanctuary brings to mexican people. We will climb to the place were Juan Diego found Maria de Guadalupe, and where he picked the roses that were part of the miracle. Also we will find the fount of some waters that was believed can cure the ill, and where nowadays a beautiful church is builded now. We will visit the old Basilica and the new one, where we can see the profile of the Virgen de Guadalupe Hidden. As the top of the cherry we will go to the adjacent market, to look for souvenirs and some traditional mexican clothes and candies. Also we can have some traditional real mexican food with the street vendors, only if you wish to.
Edith was great. Very knowledgeable. The pace of the tour was also great. My elderly mother was able to keep up fine with plenty of breaks as needed. Edith was very flexible and gave us the option to pick and choose what we wanted to see and do. Highly recommend.
Edith is a lovely, warm, engaging person who really knows her stuff. Mexican history, culture, art , food - you name it she knows it. And we really appreciated that she understood what we needed, even before we did. The pyramids are a must see and lunch at La Gruta is special. Fantastic day!
We were ( a group of 5 - family) all happy with Edith. She was very knowledgeable on the basillica and gave us a lot of info on Mexico in general. Her english was good. My wife and I are in our 70's and get worn out on tours but she tailored the tour so that we were comfortable. I would be happy to use her again.

She was also very kind and caring and helped us find what we wanted to buy. She also waited until we got in our Uber to ensure we left safely. We ended up exhausted, but WHAT a trip. From detailed explanations to walks through the whole complex, we had a great tour. Edith was helpful, passionate about what she does. We all really enjoyed it .
