Jalisco is home to the most representative items that represent Mexico in the world, Mariachi, Tequila and hat dance. But there is more in this land than those brands dyed by Hollywood to our country. I was born and raised in San Andres, one of the oldest barrios (neighborhoods) in Guadalajara, I belong to a large Mexican family. When I was 19 years old I went for an adventure to the United States, young and single with nothing to lose and lots to gain I migrated to the States. I was fortunate to meet lots of people from all over the world while I went to study in a community college, then I learned that there were lots of misconceptions about Mexico. First I study a GED and along the way I obtain an associated degree in liberal arts, then I decide I should do something to teach people about my country and I studied an associated degree in Traveling and Tourism. In the USA I lived mostly on the west coast but also for a while on the east coast. In the year 2000 I applied to the tourism bureau to get my credentials to become a Tourist guide and in 2001 I obtained a four-year permit which I renew twice and after twelve years I obtained my permanent permit. During this time I have met people from all over the world and I have participated in T. V. programs, radio programs, I have aided book writers and help people in different investigations. Family members search, climate change, owls research among many other adventures. So, since 2001 I've been guiding people from all over the world and enjoying what I do giving my best to every single person I have helped. Please allow me to show you my home and be part of your memories, memories that you will make when traveling into a new world that is waiting for you and your dear family members. Overview of your Guadalajara tour

Join me to visit one of the most interesting archeological sites in the western part Of Mexico, 80km northwest away from Guadalajara is Tehuchitlan with the Guachimontones pyramids, according to National Geographic, the weirdest pyramids of the world. These circular form pyramids were built around 200 B. C. Along with this site you'll find the largest ball game of its time. although there is nothing written that will tell us about this site, archeologists and local people found ceramic pieces that describe celebrations of their time. I'm intrigued by the pre-Colombian archeological sites, so I have visited some of the most important places of this type such, as Tula, Teotihuacan, La Campana, Monte Alban, MItla, Calakmul, Coba, Chichen Itza, Edzna, Kabah among others to try to learn more of the history and traditions of these places.

Your Guadalajara tour itinerary

This tour begins at your most convenient time. from 8 a. m. We will drive 80ks (50 miles). Once we arrive to the archeological site we'll do about 15 minutes hiking uphill on a cement road, directly to the archeological site, and interpret what the archeologist has uncovered in the area. After walking and taking pictures of the site, we will go to the Interpretation center, watch a video to get more information and updates about the area, visit a museum area, see some tools and crafts from the area. In case that you may want to go for lunch, there are little restaurants with local food, in case that you may want something nicer, there is a Real Hacienda (hundreds of years old) with a nice restaurant and Mexican cuisine.
