Hola! Welcome to Guadalajara, the city where you going to enjoy not only its culture, history, architecture but also its traditions, customs and food as local. But Let me introduce myself my name is Berenice. I studied Marketing in the University of Guadalajara, after that I had a scholarship to teach Mexican Culture in France, this experience opened and changed the way to see the world and appreciated my country, my city and overall be proud of my culture. After that, I headed to Buenos Aires to study a Master Degree and lived and shared one of the happiest moments in my life. After working for many years in import and export companies, I decided to follow my dreams: my passion of walking, meeting people and show through murals, legends, statues, buildings, etc. how interesting and beautiful Guadalajara is. A walkable "traditional modern" city.
Overview of your Guadalajara tour
Guadalajara is a walkable "traditional modern" city, making possible to enjoy, discover and understand all changes through time, social and economics movements. We start in Chapultepec the "hipster" area in town. There is used to be the wealthiest neighborhood back to the 1900's, continuing to The Expiatory Church one of the most beautiful building in Guadalajara, after that we are going to visit the murals of Jose Clemente Orozco one of the biggest muralist in Mexico, then we headed to historical downtown were we are going to visit the Cross of Plazas, the Cathedral, The Degollado Theater and the Museum Cabañas. It's a long walking but I love to slow down, taking a little break, coffee or snacks, seating in a park or just having a while more to admire the city. I can customize depends of your time, age or bucket list! My goal is not only you know the most interesting things in Guadalajara but also we have much fun! Note: Be advised that museums and murals buildings are closed on Mondays.

Our Guadalajara trip was great. The guide, Sergio was very accommodating and got us to our destinations on time, if not early! Sergio let us know he was on the way and/or where he was waiting. A couple of suggestions: It would have been great if he pointed out points of interest as we drove by them. The car he was driving was clean, however our luggage did not fit in the trunk, we had to bungie cord the trunk on our way out of the airport to our 1st destination (this was fixed for our 2nd destination). The company provided the profile of a person who, we thought, would be our driver, she was selected because of her profile. Turned out that she was only the contact person. Our driver, Sergio was good, but not who we originally selected. All in all a good trip.

We had arrived on an early morning red-eye, dead to the world at the start of the tour. But Berenice quickly made the city very interesting with a thorough knowledge of the city's history, its architecture, and the mural arts in the city center. She took the time to answer all questions, demonstrating that she was listening and responding in fluent English. She also demonstrated a real pride of the city and the desire to share it with us.
