Guadalajara, Zapopan & Tlaquepaque Private Tour

This tour is perfect for someone who has just one day to visit all the beautiful attractions that Guadalajara, Zapopan, and Tlaquepaque have to offer! I will guide you through the historical centers of the three municipalities and narrate how each is connected throughout my country's history. Tlaquepaque is a "Pueblo Magico" with a rich artistic tradition of ceramics. We will see all of its most important artistic hubs as I explain how this city is tied to Guadalajara. We will also go to the fascinating underground aqueducts beneath El Refugio center. Zapopan has a truly unique origin story. Its 17th-century "Basilica of the Virgin of Zapopan" which is closely connected to the Cathedral of Guadalajara, receives annual pilgrimages centering on La Zapopanita, a small icon venerated locally since the 16th century. We will also visit the aforementioned Cathedral, along with other relevant cultural sites, pausing along the way to take lots of pictures!

The tour will begin in Zapopan Centro Historico after I pick you up from where you're staying. In the historical center, we'll visit: 1) Basilica de Nuestra Señora de Zapopan 2) Parroquia de San Pedro Apostol 3) Palacio Municipal Zapopan 4) Plaza de Las Americas 5) Arcos de Zapopan After we cover Zapopan, I'll drive you to our next destination: Guadalajara. Here we'll visit these places: 1) Plaza Fundadores 2) Cathedral de Guadalajara 3) Plaza de La Liberacion 4) Palacio Municipal 5) Palacio de Gobierno 6) Plaza Tapatia 7) Hospicio Cabañas 8) Mercado San Juan de Dios 9) Plaza de Los mariachis 10) Puente de Las Damas Depending on how hungry you are, we'd have lunch either in Guadalajara or later in Tlaquepaque.
