Jalisco is home to the most representative items that represent Mexico in the world, Mariachi, Tequila and hat dance. But there is more in this land than those brands dyed by Hollywood to our country. I was born and raised in San Andres, one of the oldest barrios (neighborhoods) in Guadalajara, I belong to a large Mexican family. When I was 19 years old I went for an adventure to the United States, young and single with nothing to lose and lots to gain I migrated to the States. I was fortunate to meet lots of people from all over the world while I went to study in a community college, then I learned that there were lots of misconceptions about Mexico. First I study a GED and along the way I obtain an associated degree in liberal arts, then I decide I should do something to teach people about my country and I studied an associated degree in Traveling and Tourism. In the USA I lived mostly on the west coast but also for a while on the east coast. In the year 2000 I applied to the tourism bureau to get my credentials to become a Tourist guide and in 2001 I obtained a four-year permit which I renew twice and after twelve years I obtained my permanent permit. During this time I have met people from all over the world and I have participated in T. V. programs, radio programs, I have aided book writers and help people in different investigations. Family members search, climate change, owls research among many other adventures. So, since 2001 I've been guiding people from all over the world and enjoying what I do giving my best to every single person I have helped. Please allow me to show you my home and be part of your memories, memories that you will make when traveling into a new world that is waiting for you and your dear family members. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Lino through Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque. With his extensive knowledge, we gained the benefit of understanding the history behind the beautiful architecture we were viewing. He took us to spots we would never have known about on our own. He was on time, easy to talk to, and we felt comfortable with him right away. We highly recommend him and are so glad we pre-booked him for our tequila tour.

My wife and I had a good tour with Lino. Lino is very knowledgeable of the local history and has good way of presenting it. Lino took us to some side streets where old historic mansions were. We really enjoyed this part of the tour as this is something you would never find on your own. Guadalajara is blessed with beautiful fauna and Lino knew the names of every tree and flower we passed by. Lino recommended visiting La Vuente cantina where we hung out with very friendly locals.

3 years ago one of my sisters, her husband and I took a tour of Guadalajara with Lino. He was so good that when they came to visit me along with another sister we did not hesitate to ask Lino to give us another tour. This time we added Tlaquepaque. We were not disappointed. Lino is very knowledgeable and details the tours to your wants and desires. All 4 of us highly recommend tours with Lino and I hope to take another tour with him soon.

My prime goal for visiting Guadalarajara was to learn about how the city came to existence, understand the culture; and have an understanding as to why the landmarks were important to it's people. Lino met all of my expectations! Not only is he personable but flexible to not only your needs but which topics we covered. I highly recommend choosing him when you visit the city.

We had an amazing tour with Lino. We started at our hotel in Guadalajara and walked from there to a lot of the cathedrals and town squares. His english is perfect and he knows his history. You could really see his passion about art and famous Mexican painters. We were able to go to two museums as well. We also went to talaquepaque and did some shopping. He then offered to take us back to our hotel. But we were enjoying the town so much that we decided to stay on our own and have some beers. 5 stars!

Lino was a very personable and experienced tour guide for our visit to Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque. He drove his own car to the various sites. He provided a good balance of information from early Mexican history to the present. We enjoyed the sites he selected that offered a variety of church and domestic architecture and an indepth discussion of murals by Orozco, and a tour of the arts and crafts show at Tlaquepaque. He made our visit to Gaudalajara a wonderful experience.

Your Guadalajara tour itinerary

Depending on where you may be staying we could see some streets and avenues that form part of this gorgeous city, along the way we'll be pointing out houses, fountains, monuments, churches, and government buildings. We could stop in some places to see in detail some of these places or get into a church or museum to admire the architecture or the murals painted inside them. There will be time for pictures almost everywhere we stop or pass by. Cathedral, Degollado theatre, among many places, we like to show you all at your own pace and explain to you what we would see. 20 minutes away from the cathedral is Tlaquepaque home of the Mariachis house el Parian excellent place to have a beverage and listen to Mariachi Music. you could also admire the Mexican Art and crafts, go shopping, take pictures or just sit down on a public bench and relax like a local folk. If you require any specific experience I can customize it for you my time will be your time and we'll play it according to your needs.
