Magdalena, a typical Mexican charming little town in the state of Jalisco, only about an hour from Guadalajara offers you the experience of meeting one of the largest opal producers in the world. This town, full of traditions has four main opal mines where you will have the opportunity to explore and to appreciate the work of the miners and you will be able to go hunting your opal with a hammer and a helmet provided by the miners. Magdalena also has an obsidian deposit, thanks to the climatic conditions and the proximity to the Tequila volcano. Afterward, in the town of Tequila, you will take in the entire array of Flavors of Mexico. You will be able to learn the interesting process of planting and care of the agave plant, its uses for other products, and its work - traditional and industrial - to give life to Mexico's National Drink through complex steps that, in the end, give it its flavor, quality, and texture. You will not leave these sets without first tasting some of their most famous drinks.

Free time to appreciate the different kinds of opals and buy the ones of your choice. - We can have lunch in a lovely typical Mexican restaurant in Magdalena, or if you prefer we can have lunch in a great restaurant in the town of Tequila which is only 15 minutes away. - Upon arrival to the city of Tequila, we will walk the Historic Downtown, visiting the Historical City Hall Mural, and the Museum of Tequila, to learn about the ancient and modern process of elaboration. Visiting a distillery as we have tasted to distinguish the various types of Tequila. - Driving back to Guadalajara around 4:30 p.m.
